Things that made me happy today

2. I... am going to see MCR and also Smashing Pumpkins on December 10? Not that I'm in Bandom or anything, I'm just reading the fic and watching the youtube videos and listening to the music... Molly of 2008, judge not lest you be judged.
3. Todayoliviacirce and I had the following email exchange, which sadly no one else in the world knows both source materials for:

And then I continued to explicate that clearly Eric is Dr. Nakamura and made lots of jokes that were spoilery for both Happy End and True Blood s3 and it was amazing. Also Sophie Anne is clearly The Fly because it would make me happy if she were played by Lotte Lenya.
Yes, I am apparently crossing over HBO shows with Brecht plays now, what is the world even coming to. It seems wildly appropriate for both. In conclusion, there should be a vid about Bill and Eric to "Song of the Big Shot."
4. A lot of crappy stuff happened in yesterday's election, including both the shift in Congressional power and the fact that I cannot legally sit on sidewalks anymore (wtaf San Francisco), but the California state stuff was really quite good and I am optimistic that maybe the state legislature will be able to pass timely budgets with the new changes.
5. I live in a city that continues to be madly in love with itself and its sports teams. Never have I seen so much spontaneous love between strangers on public transportation as I have in the last week after games. It's been amazing, I'm just sad the World Series didn't last longer. And that people can't sit on the sidewalk.
