Wow, this fits the story perfectly. I also just plain love the playlist. I'm at #10 now and seriously burning this as a road trip CD.

Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying it. As I worked on it I kept been swinging back and forth between "this song will never be about anything but scene X to me again" and "now I need to drive through the midwest."

But seriously, I have come to think that "Sodom, South Georgia" was written about the story :/

No problem, I just ripped it from the CD with aac encoding last night when I was pulling all the DRM off the songs, so I just need to rip another copy with the right encoding.

This mix is a-ma-zing, and not just for how well it fits with the story itself because it does, almost eerily so, but also because it's just really fantastic, so evocative of the rural spaces of road trips even without the AU of the story. Such great songs--I really enjoyed this!
