FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK, SELF.
who is the big spoon/little spoon
Most of the time Nog likes to be the big spoon (Jake thinks it's a little silly, but he learned a long time ago not to push Nog with things like this). But sometimes when Nog gets back from a particularly grueling tour in the Gamma Quadrant, he stumbles back to their quarters and curls up in a little ball in their bed and lets Jake wrap around him until he begins to feel safe again.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity
They're grown-ups now, but they still love to sit on the edge of the upper level of the Promenade, talking. (And if sometimes they still throw things at people passing below, that's nobody's business but their own.)
who uses all the hot water in the morning
Jake. But since Nog is often up and showered and working several hours before Jake wakes up, this generally isn't an issue.
Sometimes, though, Jake is still up writing when Nog gets up in the morning. Nog gets grumpy about this and Jake follows him into the shower to make it up to him. Nog's rigorous schedule can't quite handle this as well as he wishes it did.
what they order from take out
Thanks to his dad, Jake has gotten into increasingly elaborate variations on cajun food made out of Bajoran ingredients. And he's come up with this really incredible recipe for blackened tube grubs and programmed it into the replicator so he doesn't have to do the work himself. But sometimes? They skip the real food and just eat Jumja sticks from the stand on the Promenade until they feel sick to their stomachs.
what is the most trivial thing they fight over
I think canon demonstrates that they can fight over ANYTHING. The last fight they got into, though, was about whether Jake's tie was too outrageous for Vic's.
who does most of the cleaning
Well it's canon that this is Nog--certainly Nog has a much higher standard of cleaning than Jake does. But since Nog is on the Defiant so much of the time TECHNICALLY a larger quantity of the cleaning falls to Jake. And he's gotten much better at cleaning since the whole series of fights when they first became roommates.
what has a season pass in their DVR
Nog's addicted to this biopic miniseries about Christopher Pike. Jake alway has Betan soap operas. Nog pretends he doesn't watch them, but that's a lie (and if you were to pay close attention, you'd notice that when he's on particularly long missions in the Gamma Quadrant, he always takes a ton of episodes of My Mind to Yours with him).
who controls the netflix queue
Jake.
who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working
I think it's notable here that the "super/landlord" equivalent on DS9 is Rom. I suspect neither Jake or Nog is very good at calling up to report trouble but every time Rom comes over for dinner he notices something that can be repaired--an oddity in the replicator, an improvement that could be made to the lighting or air flow, etc--and puts it on the duty roster. And then makes sure to fill all those requests himself.
It's how he expresses his love without Nog getting twitchy and pushing him away.
who steals the blankets
It's totally Nog, but he blames Jake.
who leaves their stuff around
Again, canonically, this is Jake--there are always half a dozen or more PADDs lying around with different in-progress stories. He's learned to keep the most egregious clutter cleaned up since he knows how much it bugs Nog, and Nog in turn has compromised and is coming to terms with the fact that the living room (and the bedroom) (and the kitchen) (and the bathroom) will have a stack of PADDs, either in case Jake gets inspired or as a relic of the LAST time he got inspired.
who remembers to buy the milk
Let's just say that it's incredibly handy that they have a replicator.
who remembers anniversaries
They both do. Nog tends to be more rigorous with the dates because he has everything carefully stored in his calendar. Jake is more prone to big romantic gestures around general landmarks in their life--when they met, when they became friends, that time at age 15 they had to sit in a holding cell until they stopped arguing about the way relationships worked, when they moved in together, when Vic finally got Nog to get over his shyness and he told Jake how he felt...
Re: FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK, SELF.
DS9 is my favorite of all the Treks and Jake/Nog are my favorite of ALL. I love the bit you included about Rom and how he expresses his love, which is just darling and adorable because it's so sweet in a very Rom way.
and awwwww, them sitting on the promanade together &boys;

I'm on a massive Alex/Ryland kick right now, though, so If you wanted to tell me about them, I'd be pretty jazzed.
