First night in the new apartment

It's got my dishes, my linens, my clothing. Maybe eventually it will feel like something other than me lurking at sassbandit's while she's temporarily away. Bringing all my furniture over next week will almost certainly help. But I'm definitely plotting ways to make it mine.

I'm going to see if I can put up wallpaper on one of the walls in the kitchen; if not, I can paint as long as the agency provides the paint, so I'll paint a single wall and a bunch of the trim. And I'm trying to figure out what set of wall stickers will work in this space.

I'm planning on hanging some plants in the air window, and likely turning that little space behind the kitchen into a mini office for Being Focused and Getting Things Done in.

Frig, I adored that apartment, particularly the little porchy nook. What are your plans for paint and/or paper in the kitchen?? I always thought something jade-y like the tile edge would be awesome in there (or as trim).

I just got to repaint my 'new' bedroom in my place in Dartmouth. It is the most lesbiany house EVER, even without my additions. I love decorating places, it's kind of therapeutic and really makes you feel like the space is more yours.

I'm going to leave most of the kitchen white, but change the color of the wall behind the fridge. My current impulse is something in the steel blue range, either wallpaper or paint. Haven't yet decided on trim...

And I think I might do an assortment of different colors on the trim in the rest of the house. I tend to go for low-saturation colors--maybe a dusty rose sort of trim in the bedroom, light gray in the living room...
