Hi Dreamwidths,
I have been away from you for maybe a week now, having all my fannish adventures on Twitter. It is because I want to write all the posts and am hiding from them.
Also because my ex-coworker has made an ass of himself on the internet, and while there's a certain sense of schaudenfreude there, I'm also feeling really mottsy about seeing the references to it. Also the horrified sense that if the *one* coworker did this, what if more of the *other* coworkers do it too, because the attitude that people keep criticizing was basically the standard tone of Old Job, and so I'm in /o\ mode.
SO NOW I'M GOING TO OVERSHARE INSTEAD OK?
So, the weekend before last I screwed up my back, and mostly got it fixed with chiropractic (yayyy). It's been a bit sore since then and I've been eager for my chiropractor to come back from vacation, but it has been entirely manageable.
So I wake up this morning and it's almost as bad as it was the first day. I whimperingly make it into work and manage to get a massage appointment not too far away for mid-morning.
Soooo... halfway through the massage, the masseuse says "one possible reason for the relapse would be hormones. A lot of times when people get their period, the muscle tension can re-trigger earlier damage."
"Pfft," I said. "I have not had my period."
In conclusion, five hours later my period started.

Ice packs when the pain starts, then hot packs when it's numb. Rinse & repeat.
