It... has been a really good week. I have been feeling relaxed, I have been getting stuff done, I have had barely any anxiety. (The poison part of my brain asked me yesterday, But if times like this were less rare, wouldn't you start to take them for granted? Wouldn't they stop feeling THIS good? To which I said, I think it's worth the trade-off.)
Good times inspire me to write down my anti-impostor-syndrome resources so that I can come back and look at them when the next down swing hits.
"Why is it that if a guy on the subway platform said these things to me I would think he was a mentally-ill asshole, but if the vampire in my head says them, it's the Voice of Reason?"
Ira Glass on sucking at things.
Mary Anne Mohanraj GoH speech from WisCon"
"The world is in terrible danger. You have been chosen, you are needed, you are each and every one of you the only one who can save it, if you will just be brave enough. And it will be hard. But heroism isn't about not being afraid. It is about being afraid, and doing the work anyway. Fighting for what you know is right. And I promise you this -- for every time you stand up for the cause you believe in, every time you break down one of the walls of fear to speak out, you will emerge stronger and braver on the other side."
