Yuletide recs, round the first
Possibly I veer towards the unusual. But that's what yuletide's all about, right? Anyway, as usual, this year's Yuletide has reaffirmed my faith in my own version of rule 34: If you think of an idea, someone has written Yuletide fic about it.
The October Incident - National Public Radio. Just a slice of life story about regular people and how their lives are soooo interesting... after the zombie apocalypse.
Apocalypse How? - Dinosaur Comics. The devil gets his due.
Love, Lark, and Lotion - A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Tony/Control is my new OTP.
Arca Salvii - Cambridge Latin Course. It is porn. In Latin. I think that is all I have to say about that.
Piano e Forte - Benjamin Britten. IT IS BRITTEN/PEARS FIC ON THE INTERNET. It has inspired me to write Britten fic of my own, because I now have demonstration that that is what the kids are doing. (
oliviacirce and
eccentric_hat are laughing at my claims that I haven't been thinking about Britten fic for the last month and a half.)
Five New Love Truths You Need To Know - Dykes to Watch Out For. Janis fic! It's a great teenage girl voice, the author definitely understands Janis as well as Bechdel does.
