wild_irises has been doing a delightful meme where she works her way through her flist and says something brief about each person. I've been enjoying it so much I thought I'd do the same. I'm working through in alphabetical order, favoring Dreamwidth username for those who have migrated over this way, and LJ username for those who are still primarily in LJ land (even if they have DW accounts). I'm condensing those with multiple journals into their primary journal, but if I skip you, let me know!
And if you've moved to Dreamwidth and see that I'm still following you on LJ, let me know about that too--I haven't been very good at keeping up with who's migrated.
alc517 is a person who I didn't get to know as well as I could have at MHC. Her blog and tweets are always highly entertaining, and I enjoy hearing about her glamorous journalistic life.
amicitia6 impresses me with her dedication to the aphasia center where she works. When I was back at MHC during her graduation, I ran into her family without her, and still recognized them instantly because of the family resemblance.
anarqkiki is still "one of my sophomores" in my head, and I'm pretty sure I'm still one of her firsties in hers. She was a long-term holdout on telnet, and I am in awe of her bravery as one bad thing after another happens to those she loves. Also, philosophy majors FTW!
I met
aria though
oliviacirce, and I'm incredibly glad I did. I love her fannish enthusiasms, her fic, and the fact that I get to watch her women's college experience vicariously, because I miss mine so much.
arniandblag are two people who I miss a whole lot, and who I wish I was still in touch with. arni was my roommate, and I love following the fiction she blogs. I used to have an excuse to see blag every time I visited
eccentric_hat, and now I don't any more, which makes me sad. I guess this means I need to start reaching out to both of them myself instead of talking to them through other people.
ayanamiblue doubly made it onto my radar her first year at MHC as a cool Latin person and as a cool SGA person. She was my last source for current SGA gossip, and I wish her all the best now that's she's graduated.
bedbug_sintheta left LJ a long time ago, and I don't actually know what's going on in her life these days. Based on my knowledge of her, though, whatever it is... it's incredibly interesting.
bigwillinhell was my fellow high school CS prankster and the first person I ever dated, even if it wasn't very successful. I'm so glad that he and Hannah found each other.
I always find
blackdrago's speculation on religion fascinating. I've had a ton of great conversations with her, and wish I knew more people as thoughtful and expressive as she is on the topic of faith.
camelpack is one of the few people I know of my generation who is genuinely putting herself at risk every day by being out. She lives her life with grace and dignity, and I have a huge amount of respect for her ability to cope, let alone shine.
coolsashy is one of my favorite people, the perfect match for
emmyskier that I didn't know existed until I met him. It's a very good feeling indeed when your best friends fall in love with someone as awesometastic as
coolsashy.
