Soul Bonds is TWILIGHT FANFICTION. It is STEPHANIE MEYER PASTICHE. Just... Jake pastiche and not Bella pastiche. It's post-series Jake/Leah psychic werewolf puppy play that ultimately ends badly because... oh wait, Jake *is* actually soul-bonded to someone else.

AN EXCEPT:

I let the wolf instincts take over and just ran into the trees. A few miles in Leah loped up next to me but she didn't push, just matched me stride for stride. After a while we caught the scent of a deer and she didn't even say anything then, just surged forward to cut it off. A few years ago if you'd told me I'd ever think she was anything but a pain in my ass I would've asked what you were smoking, but honestly she's kind of amazing at the whole pack thing. I know better than anyone that just a psychic connection is no guarantee that two people can actually communicate, but Leah had, like, something else entirely, like she knew what I was going to think before I thought it and would just respond.

We took down that deer like fucking pros and split up eating it. The wolf metabolism wasn't so bad after the first year or so and I probably could've gone another couple of hours without eating, but eating a fresh kill is a great way to clear your mind. The idea of guzzling down all that raw meat just isn't something you can really handle in your human form, so you just go with your instincts and all the buzzing little voices fly right out of your head.

Even if that buzzing is the bullshit look of mock concern Bella pastes on her marble face when she wants you to think she's experiencing emotions like a human would, the even tone she uses when she says "Edward and I just think it might be good for you both if you and Nessie took a little time off for now."

The thing they never tell you about Imprinting is that it sucks. I mean, not that they tell you anything about Imprinting to start with, I'm just glad it didn't come on me as sudden as it did for Sam and Emily, but still, the point is it sucks. And I mean I don't have it as bad as it could be because Nessie's growing up so damn fast, but that's actually kinda the problem. She's growing up so damn fast and she's starting to get all these curves and all, but she's still only four fucking years old and I'm pretty sure that makes me some kind of pedo.

And I don't look anywhere else, it's pretty much been impossible since the moment she was born, and before that I was almost as bad in love with her mom, but a guy's got needs, you know what I'm saying?

Hee, thanks. We'll see if it goes anywhere... I don't quite know how much I can handle hurting Leah more. I love that girl to pieces and she is such a brave little toaster. Sigh. Why can't she have anything nice?

I am delighted that you're writing Twilight fanfiction, and even without much context I enjoy the image of Bella pretending to have human emotions.

Not being able to resist the, uh, wolf subject matter, I have included some facts about wolves, which may have little to no relevance to werewolves so there you go. Here are some facts about wolves! They eat a huge quantity of food at one time and then don't eat again for a long while. An adult grey wolf might eat 25% of its body weight at one time, and then not eat again for up to two weeks, depending on its success hunting. At the IWC, when there were half a dozen wolves in the exhibit pack, the staff fed them one roadkill deer for the whole pack every seven days, plus a beaver per wolf midweek.

...I could go on about just how much of a prey animal a wolf eats, but it's probably a bit graphic for an unsolicited comment on a post not about wildlife.

Anyway, I can only assume werewolves would have REALLY BIZARRE experiences with their digestive systems.

YOU ARE MY FAVORITE PERSON IN THE WORLD. And your wolf facts are all totally appreciated. The frequent eating is, I'm pretty sure, in the books, but maybe I'll change it so that now that time has passed and he isn't in werewolf puberty or whatever, he's settling down into more regular wolf eating patterns.

And yeah, it would be really weird on the digestive system to switch back and forth... eek. THINGS PEOPLE DON'T NORMALLY THINK ABOUT WITH THEIR WEREWOLVES.

I endeavor to be of service! People don't come around and ask for this kind of information most of the time, so I tend to sort of jump in and deliver it when there's an opportunity.

I'm not surprised if that's in the books, as there's a pretty pervasive cultural idea that wolves are hungry all the time. In reality, they're hunting almost all the time (they do get sluggish after eating--the day after feeding is reliably the most boring day to visit the Wolf Center), but it's surprising how seldom they succeed in killing something.

Now I'm just staring into space hypothesizing about werewolf biology. WHAT IF YOU TRANSFORMED AFTER EATING A SALAD? WOLVES CAN'T DIGEST PLANTS!

The core ethical value that shows most in the book Seedfolks is rpseect because when they come together to grow the garden, they have to rpseect everyones ideas, personalities, cultures, races, and abilities. Without rpseect they wouldn't be able to work together growing the garden, and nobody would like each other.

The core ethical value dmaenstroted in Seedfolks is responsibility because all the characters are responsible for taking care of their garden. Another core ethical value shown is respect because since all the characters are meeting one another throughout the process of creating this garden, they are also getting to know each other, and it takes respect to do that.
